Department of Mechanical Engineering / Renewable Energy

It is one of the newly created academic departments. It was established at the beginning of the first semester of the academic year 2018/2019 to supply the needs of the Kingdom and the needs of the Arab and regional world of mechanical engineers specialized in the fields of renewable energy from the theoretical, practical and research aspects.

The mechanical engineering/renewable energy major is a branch of engineering that combines the two majors of mechanical engineering and renewable energy, as it specializes in studying methods of generating and transferring different forms of energy in an efficient, safe and economically viable manner, and enabling specialists to use it in all different fields of industry. As renewable energy has become an important field of study recently, due to the growing need for energy, and the search for other forms of renewable energy has become an economic necessity.
