Basic Scientific Sciences Department

The department of basic scientific sciences considers one of the educational departments in Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II Academy for Civil Protection. It has been founded at the beginning of the second semester of the academic year 2020/2021 in order to manage the humanitarian university requirements (obligatory and elective). The department seeks to achieve the vision of the Academy to be an effective component in building the nation.

The department seeks to provide students with a solid scientific base in order to gain the basic skills of understanding and searching; intellectual and moral growth. Also, it seeks to develop their knowledge of English and Arabic language skills, and to learn about cultures and contemporary issues. In addition, it tends to teach students how to communicate with others so that they have the ability to communicate with the local community.

Department of basic scientific sciences aims at building a model that balances between scientific discipline and life skills. It aims at preparing a qualified graduate with various skills and high educational level.

• Providing students with knowledge and skills in the fields of basic human sciences.
• Developing students’ abilities and encouraging them to keep up with the latest developments in science.
• Developing the learning and teaching skills of the academic stuff of the department.
• Adopting clear and specific course plans for students;they are provided with it at the beginning of the semester.
• Providing tools and technical and educational aids to give students the needed skills.
• Monitoring the work of the academic stuff and students’ regularity.
