A Brief about the Bachelor's Degree in Disaster and Crisis Management

Disasters in our time have become of many and manifold dimensions as a result of their threat, when they occur, to all aspects of life: economic, social, health, which means organizing and managing resources and responsibilities to deal with all emergency aspects through the stages of disaster management, which include:

1. Prepare and plan (before disaster strikes)

2. Confrontation and response (during a disaster).

3. Balance and rebuilding (post-disaster).

Therefore, it is necessary for all institutions, in coordination with local, regional and global stakeholders, to prepare well, scientific planning method, and training using digital technologies to design and prepare training programs to face crises and virtual disasters, in order to achieve high preparedness and rapid response to confront crises and real disasters efficiently and to reduce the effects as much as possible.

The study plan for the Disaster and Crisis Management major includes various courses at an average of (132) credit hours, and is divided into university and college requirements such as basics of accident and disaster management and compulsory specialization requirements such as computer applications in disaster management, disaster operations management and support specialization requirements ,Principles of Disaster and Crisis Management, Statistics, industrial psychology, and there is a continuous update on the study plan to keep pace with the latest developments in the field of disaster and crisis management.
